In this tradition House of Troy carefully crafts each light for you by hand to the highest quality standards. This lamp will create a stunning presence in any room and works well with many styles of decor. Showcasing the classic lines of this lamp and cut from the highest quality solid brass the P14-203-81 has a mahogany bronze finish that is a deep shade of brown our darkest bronze painted finish. All painted finishes are opaque. This House of Troy light fixture has a hinged adjustable arm that is easily adjustable up to 12-1/2-Inch tall allowing for ample illumination while playing your piano or working at your desk. The P14-203-81 uses two medium base T10 60W (maximum) incandescent bulbs housed in an 14-Inch wide shade controlled by a switch on the base. This lamp is CA Title 20 Compliant when used with a compact fluorescent light bulb. The 6-Inch octagon base has a factory formed opening for the 9-foot brown cord and polarized plug. The metal components of House of Troy products should be cleaned with warm water and a soft cloth; using soaps or glass cleaners may damage the metal finish. This fixture is sold one per package and is UL listed in the USA and Canada. Tucked into the northern Vermont hills House of Troy has been producing classic lighting since the mid 1940s. Very nice and sturdy. Standard bulbs get quite hot, but found CFL's that work and are much cooler.
NOTE: the tightening mechanisms to adjust the height/angle can be stripped VERY easily so be careful not to overtighten. This happened to us, called house of troy and they sent out a replacment part right away. Good customer service!
