The Kendal Lighting TC4035-ORB/MO 71-inch Portable Torchiere Floor Lamp with Reading Light showcases simple lines and interesting curves to make an impactful design statement. The clean and modern look that this floor lamp provides will complement a multitude of interior styles. This torchiere works anywhere you need a sophisticated touch with its sleek columnar body and ball detail finished in Oil Rubbed Bronze paired with a mocha glass shade that measures 15-inches in diameter. A heavy circular base ensures safety by minimizing tipping of the 72-inch tall lamp. The 21-inch hinged, adjustable arm gives the versatility to direct the light where it is needed most, whether it be next to your desk or beside your reading chair. The TC4035-ORB/MO uses one medium-base A19, 150W (maximum) bulb in its uplight, the reading lamp uses one 12V JC bi-pin, 50W (maximum) bulb. Both are controlled by the dual dimmer switch that is conveniently positioned on the lamp stem body. The 12-inch diameter base has a factory formed opening for the polarized plug and cord. This fixture is sold one per package and is UL listed for dry location use in the USA and Canada. This lamp is perfect for my needs. I just ordered a 2nd after making sure I liked the first. They stand behind my sectional couch, providing beautiful uplight and then allowing us to sit on the couch and read. I look into the family room from the kitchen and they do not block the view of the room (and the TV). They are quite tall (71") and you will need more mid-level lighting in your room, unless you just want to keep the reading light on and angle it up. Both lights dim, the controls are handy and this is one beautiful lamp, it's like a piece of art.
