What a great conversation piece this is! This lamp has a sturdy solid base and a basic no tools needed assembly. The rattan fronds are easy to install and adjust. The coconuts are where the light bulbs are hidden so the lamp is more for ambient lighting than illuminating a whole room. My lamp was purchaed in 1996 and, with the exception of a few fronds being a little more bowed at the insertion point, the lamp still looks exactly as the day I bought it.

Sitting under my palm tree at home. Even though it was during the holidays which delayed the delivery. The creators worked hard to do it by hand. They sent me the delivery information , the tracking number etc. They answered my questions, emails immediately , literally. As soon as it arrived in NY the company called and got it here the next day. It looks like the picture on this page , very easy to get out of the box and you place the leaves yourself so you can adapt it to your space. It is beautiful, great detail, big leaves , small leaves , coconuts, in front of a bay window on a high floor, really beautiful. I feel like I am on vacation under my palm tree. Yes if you love this kind of thing you will love, love this.
